WAXING

To ensure your skin is cared for properly, it is essential that you follow the guidelines below:

Before

Do not shave for at least 3-4 weeks prior to your appointment
Please shower before your appointment and arrive clean,
wipes will be provided for you to use prior your intimate wax to insure that all oils removed from the skin.
Gently exfoliate and moisturise two days prior to your treatment to remove any dead skin cells
In order for the wax to grip the hair needs to be around 0.5 cm long (imagine a grain of rice)
Do not wear fake tan as this will be removed by the wax
Avoid alcohol and caffeine prior to your waxing. Drinking a lot of caffeine or alcohol can cause skin to be extra sensitive to waxing.
Give yourself a couple of hours after drinking coffee or alcohol before getting waxed. Instead, drink a lot of water to hydrate your body and skin
Please bring an additional clean shirt if you are having a back and shoulder wax

Benefits to being waxed:

Hair will take longer to grow back
Reduces body odour, particularly in summer
When hair does grow back its thinner
Sports related benefits for swimmers, athletes and cyclists.
Intimate waxing decreases chaffing significantly prevents ingrown hairs especially around the base of the spine which can cause pilonidal sinus, which can be very common in male cyclists and rowers.

Avoid the Following for 24-48 hrs:

Hot baths and showers
Facial Peels (glycolic, AHA, etc.), dermabrasion & heat treatments. Including saunas, hot tubs, sun bathing and sun/solarium exposure
Applying perfumed products, make-up or deodorant to the treated area
Sports and any other vigorous exercise
Swimming in chlorinated pools or the beach
Sexual activity (intimate waxing only).
Tight clothing as this can cause ingrown hairs.

Tips

Shower immediately after any form of exercise with anti-bacterial wash to clear the perspiration, which leads to bacterial infections, pimples and ingrowing hairs in the pores.
Use an exfoliater three times a week and moisturise every day but AVOID the use of exfoliating products for at least 72 hours after waxing as this may irritate your skin
Do not shave between appointments as this distorts the hair growth cycle
Moisturise your skin daily after your waxing treatment
Daily use can improve the condition of the skin and help prevent ingrown hairs, use an antibacticial body wash/soap to decrease pimples and bacteria on skin.

TANNING

To ensure longevity and evenness of your tan, it essential that you follow the guidelines below:

Before

The night before, exfoliate and moisturise your skin, paying extra attention to the elbows, knees, ankles and any other problem areaS.
Wax/shave/thread at least 24hrs beforehand to allow the pores time to close
Do not apply moisturiser or skin lotions on the day of your tan
Remove make up, deodorant, lotions before your tan

After

Wear loose dark clothing
Do not shower/bathe for at least 8 hours(overnight is preferable)
Do not exercise, swim, sun beds, steam rooms ETC. until you wash the solution off
Do not touch your skin as the solution can be transferred to your hands.
Avoid getting your hands or skin wet, washing up etc.
After showering apply sienna X moisturiser and pat dry
Keep moisturising, every day if possible and towards day 3 start applying extend and perfect gradual tan to pro long the life of your tan
Day 5 you can start exfoliating so the tan fades evenly
